Who Is Rohit Godara; Gangster Claiming Responsibility For Rajput Karni Sena Leader's Killing

Gangster Rohit Godara has claimed responsibility for the high-profile on-camera killing of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the leader of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, at his Jaipur residence today. Gogamedi was shot by two assailants, who were having tea with him, resulting in multiple injuries. The incident was captured in a viral video.

Following the ordeal which unfolded throughout the day, Rohit Godara, affiliated with the gangs of Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi, took responsibility for the act through a Facebook post.

"I am Rohit Godara Kapursari, brother of Goldie Brar. Today we take full responsibility for the murder of Sukhdev Gogamedi," Godara wrote on social media. "He (Mr Gogamedi) used to back our enemies," he wrote in the Facebook post.

Who Is Rohit Godara?

Rohit Godara, a gangster from Rajasthan, is presently believed to be in Canada and has been on the National Investigation Agency's radar for very long. According to a report by NDTV, more than 30 cases have been registered against the criminal mastermind in several states across the country. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken steps to capture him and filed criminal charges against him.

Godara, a resident of Lunakaran, Bikaner, Rajasthan, has built a grim reputation with over 32 registered cases of serious crimes. His criminal journey began in 2010, marked by a string of consecutive incidents, including extortion demands ranging from Rs 5 crore to Rs 17 crore from Rajasthan businessmen. Notably, Godara is implicated in the murder of gangster Raju Thehat in Sikar, Rajasthan.

Last year, Godara openly claimed responsibility for Thehat's murder on Facebook, citing vengeance for the deaths of Anandpal Singh and Balveer Banura. Linked to the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala, Godara operates within the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gang.

Despite facing jail time on 15 occasions, Godara remained a fugitive, as he fled to Dubai on June 13, 2022, using a fake passport under the name Pawan Kumar. A Red Corner Notice has been issued against him, and police sources reveal that Godara has established Canada as his current base.
