In a frightening incident, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Abhishek Ghosalkar was shot dead on Thursday by a notorious criminal Mauris Noronha, popularly known as ‘Mauris Bhai’ among his supporters. All About Mauris Noronha

Mauris Noronha, the man who shot Shiv Sena leader Abhishek Ghosalkar, was popularly known as ‘Mauris Bhai’ among his supporters. He described himself as a social worker, Covid warrior, and philanthropist on his social media handle.

Noronha reportedly arranged a trip to the Infant Jesus Shrine in Nashik on February 10 for the locals, as mentioned by the Uddhav Sena leader during the Facebook live streaming.

Earlier on January 29, Noronha shared a post on his official X handle in which he wrote, “You can't defeat a man who doesn't care about pain, loss, disrespect, heartbreak & rejection.”

According to media reports, the police said that both Ghosalkar and Noronha had personal enmity but the duo hosted the Facebook Live to clarify that they had come together after ending their enmity for the welfare of the IC Colony area in Borivali suburb.

Mauris was trying to join the Shiv Sena's Uddhav Thackeray faction. Both Ghosalkar and Mauris wanted to contest from Ward No. 1, as reported by the Hindustan Times.

The incident comes days after BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad allegedly opened fire at Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) faction leader Mahesh Gaikwad at Hill Line Police Station in Ulhasnagar, triggering sharp reactions from the opposition leaders.
