Akriti Chopra Zomato: Akriti Chopra, co-founder of online food ordering and delivery platform Zomato, has resigned. She has said goodbye to the company to pursue other interests. Currently working as Chief People Officer (CPO) in Zomato, Akriti has been associated with the company since 2011.

In these 13 years, she played an important role in sections like finance and operations in the company. In 2021, she was promoted and made co-founder.

Who is Akriti Chopra?

Akriti Chopra, who is included in the senior management of Zomato, was among the co-founders. She joined the company in 2011. Before Zomato, Akriti Chopra was an article assistant in PWC. She has completed her graduation from Lady Shriram College for Women, Delhi University.

She was promoted and made a co-founder in 2021. Earlier, Akriti was working as Vice President, Finance.

Akriti Chopra is married to Albinder Dhindsa, co-founder of Blinkit. Zomato acquired Blinkit in June this year for $570 million. Many shareholders had accused the board of keeping them in the dark about Akriti and Albinder's relationship.

However, Zomato's CEO supported the two and said that the board knew everything about Albinder and Akriti. He also said that the relationship between the two is already public and there is nothing to keep anyone in the dark about it, reports jagran.com.

In January last year, another Zomato co-founder and its then chief technology officer, Gunjan Patidar, resigned after over a decade's stint in the company. Before that, in November 2022, another co-founder, Mohit Gupta, had resigned. Gupta was elevated to co-founder level in 2020 from the position of CEO of its food delivery business.
