Through a total of these 9 drinking water supply schemes, water will be delivered to homes in rural areas. The state government will complete these schemes using its own resources.

Currently, the Har Ghar Nal Yojana (Tap Water to Every Home Scheme) is being implemented in the state by the Ministry of Jal Shakti with the support of the central government. In this, the central and state governments contribute 50 per cent each.

However, the progress of these schemes has been slow. The state government is now running its own scheme for rural drinking water supply. Through urban and rural drinking water supply, the state government is implementing a scheme to provide safe and pure drinking water to the people, with an aim to reach more than 5,00,000 homes across the state.
