A Sub-Inspector (SI) posted at JAP-7 died, while three others were critically injured in a road accident near the Padma OP on Saturday.

Details Of The Incident

The accident occurred when a speeding Bullet motorcycle hit the officer as he was crossing the road after having tea at a hotel near the outpost. The critically injured officer was being rushed to the hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries on the way.

Victim Details

The deceased has been identified as 58-year-old SI Anil Paswan, who was posted at JAP-7 in Padma. He was a resident of Rakasia village, under the jurisdiction of Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district, Bihar. His father's name was Anesa Ram. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, and a son. A wave of grief swept through the police administration upon receiving news of the incident.

Condition Of The Injured

The rider of the Bullet motorcycle and two other riders were also critically injured in the collision. All the injured have been admitted to Sadar Hospital in Hazaribagh, where they are undergoing treatment. It is reported that the injured youths are residents of Donaykala in Padma. The police reached the spot and have initiated an investigation into the accident.
