Malai For Dry Skin: Dry and flaky skin that leaves the skin feeling tight and sensitive becomes a common problem as winter approaches. The skin loses its natural moisture due to the temperature drop and decreased humidity which causes pain, rough spots and fissures. While many people use commercial oils and moisturisers to keep their skin hydrated, malai or milk cream is a traditional natural treatment that has been used for generations.

Packed with vital elements such as lipids, proteins and vitamins, using malai is an excellent way to restore moisture to the skin. Malai provides deep hydration and enhances skin texture, assisting in the maintenance of softness, smoothness and an even complexion in contrast to synthetic skincare products. Here are some ways in which you can use malai to treat dry skin in winter.

Ways To Use Malai For Dry Skin

Malai Face Mask

Apply a generous amount of fresh malai to your cleansed skin to make a moisturising mask. Allow the skin to absorb the healthy nutrients by letting it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. While the natural lipids in the cream aid in retaining moisture, the lactic acid in the cream gently exfoliates the skin, eliminating dead cells.

Natural Body Lotion

Just apply a good amount of fresh malai to your skin, paying particular attention to the rough areas. The cream's natural emollients will soften and nourish the skin. Malai can be used with a few drops of coconut or olive oil to increase moisture and create an even more luxurious mixture.

Malai & Turmeric

Apply a brightening mask to your skin by combining a tablespoon of malai with a pinch of turmeric. While turmeric brightens dull areas and even your skin tone, malai will hydrate your skin. Rinse with lukewarm water after letting the mixture rest for ten to fifteen minutes.

Overnight Face Mask

Malai can be applied as an overnight treatment to give significant hydration to people with excessively dry skin. The skin thoroughly absorbs the nutrients when a thick coating of malai is applied before bed, keeping it hydrated all night. Add a few drops of rosewater or glycerin to the malai to improve the treatment.
