Habits Affecting Male And Female Fertility: A huge number of people are affected by infertility in their lifetime. Around 1 in 6 people globally are affected by infertility, as per the World Health Organization (WHO). Infertility is a common health condition of failure to achieve a pregnancy after 12 months or more of regular unprotected sexual intercourse.

According to Dr Sawhney, various factors are behind the falling fertility levels in men and women from a sedentary lifestyle to personal choice. Underlying Conditions
Certain medical conditions such as PCOS in women, endometriosis, erectile dysfunction, and low sperm count in men can significantly impact fertility rates.
Environmental Influence
Dr Sawhney says that being exposed to pollutants and toxins in the environment could also detrimentally impact fertility levels.
Stress
Elevated stress levels and mental health challenges can interfere with reproductive processes owing to decreased levels of fertility. Therefore, managing stress on a daily basis is extremely important for overall well-being.
Urbanisation
Lastly, alterations in family dynamics, urbanisation, and economic limitations also influence a couple’s decisions concerning family planning.
