1. Gargle With Warm Salt Water

A popular remedy for sore throat is gargling with warm salt water. To prepare gargle water, you need to mix half a tablespoon of salt in a glass of warm water and mix it well. The warm salt water washes away the mucus lining in the throat and reduces inflammation, thus providing relief.

2. Umeboshi

Umeboshi is a popular Japanese tsukemono that is sour and salty. It is consumed during winter and is known to be an immunity booster. Umeboshi contains natural organic acids and antibacterial properties that provide the body with resistance to colds and coughs.
