Also with the upcoming monsoons, it is imperative to take measures to keep mosquitoes away from your house. The combination of weather and climate is the main factor for mosquito bites. Mosquitoes can’t control their body temperatures, therefore the warmer it is, the more mosquitoes will thrive. Therefore we find more mosquitoes in the summer months than in winter. Certain factors such as your body temperature, your blood type, and bacteria living on your skin among many others can lead to frequent mosquito bites. But worry not, here are some easy hacks that you can use to keep mosquitoes away from your house.

Lemon Eucalyptus Oil
Lemon eucalyptus oil is the most well-known remedy to repel mosquitoes. It is considered to be an effective ingredient that helps in repelling mosquitoes. You can prepare the solution by mixing lemon eucalyptus oil with sunflower oil or witch hazel and spread it to your house. It contains chemicals that repel mosquitoes and kill fungi and bacteria.
Lavender
To repel mosquitoes, combine a few drops of lavender oil with ten parts witch hazel and pour into a spray bottle. Shake the mixture well before spraying it on your clothing and around the home.

Cinnamon Oil

Cinnamon oil is a highly effective insect repellent. According to the American Chemical Society, cinnamon oil is a pleasant-smelling, ecologically benign insecticide that may destroy mosquito larvae. It is often derived from cinnamon bark and is commonly used to manufacture natural insect repellents.
Thyme Oil
Thyme oil is considered the best to provide protection against malaria-causing mosquitoes. To use this oil for repelling mosquitoes, combine some drops of thyme oil with base oil such as olive or jojoba oil. Mix them well with some water and use it as a spray to repel mosquitoes and insects from your house.
Bay Leaves
One of the simplest methods to utilise bay leaves to repel mosquitos is to burn them in a bowl and allow the scent to permeate around your home. But keep your windows open to allow oxygen into your home as the leaves burn.
