According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), an estimated 46% of individuals with hypertension are ignorant of their disease, which is a leading cause of early mortality globally.
Being overweight, consuming too much salt, not getting enough exercise, experiencing too much stress, and eating a poor diet are all typical causes of hypertension. The meals you eat play an important part in keeping your blood pressure stable. Here is a list of foods that may affect your blood pressure and lead to hypertension.

Pickles
Preserved foods include high levels of salt, which helps to keep food fresh for extended periods of time. It is widely recognised that the longer vegetables remain in canning and preserving solutions, the more salt they acquire. Therefore, if you have regular high blood pressure, you should avoid eating pickles.
Processed Meat
Another thing to avoid if you have high blood pressure is processed beef. They contain around 750 milligrams of salt, which might be hazardous to one's health. Other processed foods to avoid include hotdogs, sausage, bacon and corned beef.

Cheese

Keep it down with naturally low-sodium cheeses like Swiss, which contains 75 milligrams per one-ounce serving. Fresh mozzarella, ricotta, and goat cheese are also tasty. Processed and hard cheeses, such as American and cottage cheese, have higher salt. A half-cup of normal cottage cheese has 455 milligrams.
Alcohol
Alcohol consumption can have a direct influence on your body's primary functions such as heart health, liver, and kidneys, among others. If you have high blood pressure, you should avoid alcohol or drink it in moderation.
Frozen Meals
Although frozen meals are quick and convenient, they are also high in salt, so one must avoid them to prevent hypertension. If you need something quick now and again, search for solutions that have 600 milligrams or less of salt.
