Lavleen Kaur, a Dietitian Pro in M.Sc. F&N, M.Ed., shared a video on her Instagram profile where she emphasized two crucial things to remember when brewing tea.

Do Not Have Tea On An Empty Stomach

She suggested that you envision your stomach as green grass when you wake up early in the morning, wrapped in a thin layer of fog, and imagine that if you put the entire hot tea on that stomach, what happens next is that all the grass will be rotten, and nothing will grow on that rotten grass. Furthermore, whatever you consume for the rest of the day will not provide you with nutrition. Similarly, no matter what food you eat, it will not provide you with enough nutrients. So it's her advice that she avoid the tea, especially on an empty stomach.

Get Maximum Nutrients From Tea

Next, do you know how to extract all of the benefits from the tea, notably the antioxidants? According to Lavleen, you should never mix the milk and all the herbs together to prepare the tea; instead, take a small pan and add the water, tea leaves, cardamon, cloves, tulsi, ginger, elaichi, and whatever else you wish to add to it. Boil them all together for a while, then boil the milk in a separate pan. After that, combine both ingredients in a cup and serve.
