Dehydration, tiredness, and vertigo are also potential effects of high temperatures, particularly after extended exposure. Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing, remain hydrated, and take breaks indoors or in the shade whenever you can to stay safe.

You can minimize the risks associated with excessive heat while still enjoying outdoor activities by adopting these safeguards. Stay Hydrated
It's crucial to stay well-hydrated on an exceptionally hot day. This includes carrying a water bottle, drinking lots of water, avoiding caffeinated beverages, and replacing lost minerals with electrolyte-rich drinks.

Check your local weather for high-heat advisory warnings, watches, and advisories before making any plans. Alerts are sent out up to one day in advance of the onset of dangerously high temperatures; watches follow 24 to 72 hours later.

Stay Indoors
