Chhath Puja 2023 Traditional Recipes: The special festival of Bihar is here! Chhath Puja is celebrated every year in different parts of the country with great joy and enthusiasm. After the celebrations of Diwali, the country immerses in the festivities of the 4-days festival of Chhath Puja. This year, Chhath Puja will begin on November 17 with Nahay Khay and culminate with Usha Arghaya on November 20, 2023. During the celebrations of Chhath Puja, women observe fasts, offer arghya to the god Sun and prepare delicious foods to relish with family and friends. Here are some traditional recipes that you can prepare on Chhath Puja and savour with your loved ones.

1. Thekua

Thekua is a traditional Indian sweet which is also known as Khajuria, Tikari and Thokni. It is prepared with wheat flour, melted sugar and ghee and tastes heavenly. It is usually made on the second day of Chhath Puja known as Lohanda and Kharna.

2. Carrot Halwa

Gajar ka halwa or carrot halwa is a popular traditional North Indian delicacy that is usually prepared in the winter. It is made by cooking carrots in milk and adding nuts and sugar to it. Carrot halwa is incredibly easy to prepare and is relished during Chhath Puja festivities.

3. Kheer
