Durga Puja CR Park: While Durga Puja might not be as grand as Kolkata, when it comes to festive fervour, piety and cultural richness, Delhi’s Chittaranjan Park (CR Park) is no less. Often known as the ‘Mini Kolkata’ of the capital, CR Park turns into a vibrant hub of devotion, food, music and cultural festivities during the five days of Pujo. With dazzling pandals, meticulously designed idols, dhaak beats and Bengali street food aromas, it becomes impossible for Delhiites as well as the Bengali community in Delhi to resist. From the soulful Sandhya Aarti to the much-awaited Bhog and the buzzing Anondo Mela, each event draws thousands of visitors every year.

If you’re planning to witness the ultimate Durga Puja 2025 vibe in Delhi, timing your visit to CR Park is everything. While mornings are perfect for offering anjali and enjoying quieter pandal-hopping, evenings give the true essence of Pujo with bright lights, cultural performances, food stalls and others. Here’s the perfect guide to the best times to visit CR Park during Durga Puja 2025.

Best Time: Arrive at CR Park before 6 PM to secure a good spot. Most pandals conduct the aarti around this time and arriving early ensures that you don’t miss the rituals.

Bhog (Community Feast)

A most important aspect of Durga Puja at CR Park is the Bhog Prasad served to the devotees. Deliciously prepared with traditional Bengali flavours, the bhog usually includes khichuri, labra (vegetable curry), chutney and payesh (sweet dish).

Best Time: Visit between 1 PM and 2 PM to enjoy the delicious bhog. Expect at least a 30-minute wait. On Ashtami, the bhog timing may get delayed due to the extended rituals.

Cultural Programs

CR Park’s Durga Puja is not just about devotion but also about celebrating the art and culture. Every evening, the stage across the pandals hosts music, dance and theatre performances, adding festive spirit to the nights.

Best Time: To witness the cultural programs, visit around 7:30 PM to 8 PM, right after Sandhya Aarti. Performances may vary each day, featuring folk dances to Rabindra Sangeet.
