Eating Paan On Dussehra: The festival of Dussehra celebrates the triumph of good over evil and marks the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana, the demon king. Also known as Vijayadashami, the festival of Dussehra is celebrated with widespread joy and grandeur in different parts of the country. From grand processions and colourful effigies to cultural performances, the celebrations of Dussehra are observed on a grand scale. 

Apart from celebrations, a common tradition of eating paan on Dussehra is well known. Consuming paan or betel leaves on Vijayadashami is considered of great significance. As Dussehra is usually observed during seasonal changes, it is also considered that eating paan can reduce your risk of infections and diseases. The healthy combination of areca and slaked lime helps to promote digestion and cleanse gut health.
