These rashes are itchy, uncomfortable and irritating, occurring when sweat gets trapped under the skin and cannot escape. They cause redness and tiny bumps on the skin. Although not very serious, these heat rashes can cause discomfort and sometimes pain, if not treated timely. However, with simple and effective tips, you can get rid of these heat rashes in the hotter months.

Loose And Breathable Clothing

Opt for light and loose fabrics like cotton or linen that allow the skin to breathe and prevent sweat from getting trapped. Do not wear synthetic materials like polyester or nylon, as they can irritate the skin further. Try wearing light-coloured clothes as they help reflect the sun's rays instead of absorbing them, thus keeping you cooler and reducing the chances of heat rashes.
Hydration
Heat rashes can also occur because of dehydration. When the body overheats, it produces sweat to cool down. However, if not adequately hydrated, the body fails to produce enough sweat, leading to trapped heat and sweating. This trapped sweat can cause heat rashes.
