Foods To Avoid In Summers

Soda

Summertime is the worst time to drink soda, despite its well-known cooling effects. Carbonated beverages, such as soda, are quite sugary and addictive and increase dehydration. Too much consumption of sugar-filled beverages can also result in weight gain and dental problems. 

Caffeinated Drinks

The caffeine present in coffee and other caffeinated beverages can make the body lose too much fluids and cause dehydration. Due to their diuretic properties, caffeine-containing beverages cause the body to lose fluids. Coffee also raises body temperature, thereforeit should be consumed in moderation.

Processed Foods

During the summer, stay away from processed foods that are sliced, cleaned, heated, pasteurised, canned, cooked, frozen, dried, dehydrated, blended, or packed. These foods cause water retention which causes dehydration. 

Fried Foods

You must avoid fried foods in hot weather since they are high in salt and difficult to digest, which can cause fatigue and poor digestion. Additionally, they may make your skin overly oily, which can lead to breakouts and acne.

Spicy Foods

Avoiding spicy foods during summer is advised because they may negatively impact pitta dosha, raising body temperature and resulting in excessive sweating. Their heating effects may make you more susceptible to sunstroke during hot weather.
