How Diabetes Causes Heart Problems In Women
Research indicates that women with diabetes are at a significantly higher risk of developing heart disease compared to men with diabetes. This disparity exists due to various factors, including hormonal influences, unique symptoms, and responses to treatment. Women with diabetes face a spectrum of heart issues, including coronary artery disease (CAD), heart attack, heart failure, peripheral artery disease (PAD), and stroke. These conditions can be more severe and occur at a younger age in women with diabetes, underscoring the urgency of preventive measures and early detection.

Diabetes not only directly impacts the heart but also amplifies other risk factors such as high blood pressure, unhealthy cholesterol levels, and obesity.
