Tanning can be an issue for many people, especially on the hands and feet which have the most exposure. This can lead to uneven skin tones, dryness and pigmentation for which proper skincare is important. There are salon treatments for this but they could be inaccessible or simply too expensive for some. Luckily, natural remedies can be found in your kitchen to help fade tan from hands and feet. These home remedies are a cost-effective and more convenient solution. Here, we've compiled some natural remedies that you can try using kitchen ingredients to get rid of tan easily from your hands and feet.
Kitchen Ingredients For Tan Removal
Honey And Lemon
Even out and lighten your complexion using a mixture of honey and lemon juice. Simply mix 1 tablespoon of each substance and apply to your hands and feet. Allow it to sit for 20 minutes and rinse off with warm water. For best results and glowing skin, repeat 3-4 times a week.
Tomato
Tomatoes help to diminish tan while calming the redness due to its lycopene. Blend fresh tomato pulp and apply it directly to the skin. Leave it for just 15-20 minutes and rinse with cool water. For best results, follow the remedy every day.
Potato Juice
Use the natural de-tanning properties of potatoes to help lighten hyperpigmentation. Grate a potato and extract the juice using a piece of cheesecloth. Soak a cotton ball in the potato juice and apply it to tanned skin. Allow the juice to dry before rinsing. For the best results, this should be done daily for one week.
