Changing your sanitary napkin every seven to eight hours is one of the most crucial menstrual routines. Long-term use of the same sanitary pad can increase your chance of getting certain fungal infections.
Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
Any infection within the urinary system is referred to as a urinary tract infection (UTI). The kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra are all parts of the urinary system. The bladder, urethra, and lower urinary tract are the main sites of infection. Compared to men, women are more likely to get a UTI. One important element that can contribute to this infection is poor hygiene during periods.
Hepatitis B
Changing your sanitary napkins at regular intervals is necessary, but washing your hands after changing them is more important. Not washing your hands with soap or a hand wash can lead to yeast infections or hepatitis B. Therefore, always wash your hands after changing a sanitary pad.
