Muharram 2024 Messages: Muharram marks the start of the Islamic New Year for Muslims worldwide. Unlike the Gregorian calendar, which is based on the solar cycle, the Islamic calendar is lunar-based. For Muslims, this month is very important as the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, Hazrat Imam Hussain, was killed in the Battle of Karbala on Ashura, the tenth day of Muharram, which is why it is a day of sorrow and sadness.

As the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, Hazrat Imam Hussain is extremely revered, particularly on Ashura, the day of his martyrdom. The battle for justice, truth, and righteousness against oppression and tyranny is symbolized by Imam Hussain's stance during the Battle of Karbala in 680 AD.

Hussain and his supporters refused to bow to Yazid's unfair authority, even in the face of overwhelming odds and imminent death. Instead, they stuck to their moral convictions.
