Ramadan is the holiest month in the Islamic calendar. This is a period of fasting, praying, and performing charity. Ramadan 2025 in India began on March 2. This month-long Islamic festival celebrates the revelation of the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad and is observed during the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Muslims all over the world observe fast, refraining from food and water (Roza) throughout the month from sunrise to sunset, breaking it with Iftar. They can indulge in some refreshing drinks like Mohabbat Ka Sharbat, Jallab and others at Iftar to recharge their bodies after a day-long fast.

Muslims generally have two meals per day. One is before sunrise, which is known as Sehri or Suhoor, while the other is after sunset, which is Iftar. During Iftar, Muslims indulge in ritual foods that provide nutrition and energy, apart from being delicious. Their Iftar meal is usually accompanied by hydrating and refreshing drinks that not only provide hydration but also balance the electrolytes in their body after observing a rigorous fast.
