According to Rujuta, champi helps with de-stressing, reduces hair fall and dandruff and helps with dry and flaky scalp.

Here is the hair oil recipe and steps to do champi as suggested by Rujuta that you can follow to achieve healthy hair. But before that, let's look at the benefits of each ingredient that she has recommended to prepare the hair oil.

Hair Ingredients

Coconut oil- Coconut oil is a rich source of nutrients that deeply nourish and moisturise the hair. Its antioxidants and fatty acids help to repair damaged hair, promote hair growth and protect against hair loss, leaving hair soft and silky.

Kadi Patta- Kadi patta also known as curry leaves is a natural hair tonic that promotes hair growth and strengthens hair roots. Its antioxidants and essential nutrients help to prevent hair loss, reduce dandruff and soothe an itchy scalp.

Methi seeds- Methi seeds also known as fenugreek seeds are a rich source of protein, iron and vitamins that help to nourish and strengthen hair. They promote hair growth, improve hair texture and reduce dandruff.

Steps To Prepare The Oil By Rujuta

  • Heat coconut oil
  • When hot, add curry pata leaves
  • Remove from gas
  • Add methi seeds (or hemp seeds)
  • Add hibiscus flower
  • 1tsp of aliv seeds
  • Let it cool overnight
  • Filter and massage on your scalp

Right Way To Do Champi

1. Pour oil in the centre of the scalp. Using your palm, rub it gently for 5-10 strokes. Then tab lightly for 5 strokes.

2. Using your index finger and middle finger, apply upwards stokes at the base of your skull.

3. Keep your thumb behind the ear and move all your fingers to gently move towards the centre.

4. Keep thumb in front of the ear and use all fingers in gently round movements to move up towards the centre.

5. Use index finger and go from front of the ear and down from back of the ear.

6. Make big circles with your fingers from the back of the neck to the front.

T7. To close, start from under your neck and top your chest and move your fingers gently towards the shoulders, ending in the arm pit.
