In an age dominated by fast fixes, instant gratification, and symptom-based treatments, chronic health concerns like stress, poor digestion, anxiety, hormonal imbalances, PCOS, and inflammation are rising at an alarming rate. Despite the abundance of modern medical interventions, many individuals are struggling with recurring issues that never seem to be fully resolved. This is where Ayurveda, India’s 5,000-year-old healing system, offers a refreshing and transformative approach. Rooted in the principle of balancing the mind, body, and spirit, Ayurveda focuses on identifying and treating the root cause of an ailment rather than merely masking the symptoms.
Today’s generation, driven by a growing desire for sustainable wellness and natural living, is increasingly turning to Ayurveda as a complete and preventive healthcare system. From practices like Abhyanga (oil massage) and Shirodhara (oil therapy) to holistic diets and detoxifying Panchakarma therapies, Ayurveda is proving to be a time-tested solution for modern ailments. In conversation with The Daily Jagran, Vaidya Smita Naram, Co-Founder of Ayushakti, shares why Ayurveda is becoming the answer to all the health challenges.
With awareness around the Mind-Body Connection, there is now a growing emphasis on emotional and physical health. Age-old practices like Abhyanga (ayurvedic oil body massage), Shirodhara (oil pouring therapy) and Panchkarma detox are in demand, which help regulate the nervous system, balancing hormones and help in reducing anxiety.
