The occasion of World Against Child Labour Day is observed every year on June 12 across the globe. It is observed to raise awareness about the plight of children around the world and make efforts to eliminate the practice of child labour. According to the United Nations, more than 150 million children around the globe are still working or are forced to work as labourers.
This global occasion was established in 2002 in an effort to address the rising problem of child labour across the world.
