World Sanskriti Day 2023: The World Sanskrit Diwas takes place on the auspicious occasion of Shraavana Poornima. This year's celebration of this significant day will take place on August 31. Sanskrit is one of the oldest languages and it is known as the mother tongue. In ancient India, Sanskrit was the first language used to communicate.
World Sanskriti Day 2023 History And Significance
In 1969, Sanskrit Diwas, which is also known as World Sanskrit Day, was first observed. It is a festival intended to raise awareness of, support, and revitalize the historic Indian language. It is a result of India's rich cultural heritage. Sanskrit Diwas consists of a number of activities and all-day seminars that discuss the significance of the Sanskrit language, its effects, and how to spread awareness of this lovely language. The Sanskrit language is used in Hindu rituals such as puja and mantra recitation. It is thought that India is where the Sanskrit language first emerged about 3500 years ago.

The purpose of Sanskrit Diwas is to raise awareness of, promote, and revitalize the historic Indian language. Essentially, the day emphasizes the value of understanding it. The oldest of all the languages spoken in India, Sanskrit is the mother tongue of all other Indian languages. Also, Sanskrit is one of the most computer-friendly languages of all.

How World Sanskrit Day Is Celebrated?
Every school and college throughout the nation, from the federal level down to the state and district levels, observes Sanskrit Day. There are so many celebrations, like the Sanskrit Kavi Sammelan, a writer's conference, student speeches, a recitation competition, etc. All the students learn about the Vedic language on Sanskrit Day, when linguistic experts from this field are invited to speak. Several cultural events, lectures, and workshops are planned for this time.
