2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift Price: The 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 2.20 crore (ex-showroom). The new S-class facelift has been launched with several changes in terms of design and features, and the brand has also introduced its flagship sedan with a plug-in hybrid powertrain for the first time. Notably, the S-class facelift will be available exclusively in the S 450e guise, and the bookings for the ultra-luxury sedan have also commenced from today onwards.

The 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class gets a stronger visual identity with a 20 per cent larger grill, which is now illuminated. The grille also gets star-shaped 3D chrome elements, and the brand’s iconic star on the bonnet also comes with the illumination function. The lighting has also been updated, and it gets twin-star motifs. The lighting features the brand’s latest generation of Digital Lights, which uses micro-LED technology. The taillight is also redesigned, and it incorporates star-shaped elements. It also gets a light projection feature, which displays ‘Mercedes-Benz’ lettering on the ground when someone enters or exits the car.

The 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class comes with a heavily digitalised cabin, and it gets a triple-screen layout that incorporates a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.4-inch infotainment screen, and a 12.3-inch screen for the front passenger. All of these screens run on the latest MB OS, which enables faster operation. The S-Class facelift also gets a new steering wheel with physical controls. The rear-seat comfort has also been taken a step further by offering detachable dual 13.1-inch entertainment screens, video conferencing support, enhanced ambient lighting, and comfort features. The S-Class facelift also features an AI-powered MBUX system, and it also features ChatGPT-based conversational functions.

2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift: Powertrain
The 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift comes equipped with a 3-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder petrol engine, which is paired with a 22 kWh battery pack and a rear-mounted electric motor. The engine is integrated with a 9-speed automatic transmission, and it is a Rear Wheel Drive sedan. The power and torque output stand at 435 hp and 680 Nm, respectively. The brand claims that the plug-in hybrid powertrain on the S-Class facelift can deliver a mileage of 32.3 kilometres per litre.
