Lexus LM 350h WLTP India:  The Lexus LM has become the first vehicle in India to be WLTP certified ahead of the 2027 mandate. Notably, India will mandate the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) from April 1, 2027, for all new passenger vehicles. What Is WLTP Certification?

The Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure is a standard vehicular testing procedure that is globally accepted. The WLTP certification is used in several international markets, including Europe, Japan, and South Korea. WLTP aims to measure vehicular fuel efficiency, energy consumption, and exhaust emissions. The Indian automotive industry is set to adopt the WLTP testing procedure in line with global standards. India currently uses the MIDC (Modified Indian Driving Cycle) testing procedures, which will be replaced by WLTP from April 1, 2027 onwards.

WLTP Vs MIDC: What’s The Difference?

MIDC is often criticised by Industry experts as it involves vehicular testing on low-speed lab tests. As per several industry experts, the MIDC testing procedure fails to mimic real-world conditions and provides higher fuel-efficiency numbers. The WLTP cycle, on the other hand, tests vehicles on different aspects, including variables like aerodynamics, optional equipment, and weight. Once the WLTP cycle is adopted in India, it will put the Indian automotive industry in line with global standards.

Lexus LM: Price & Features

The prices for the Luxury MPV LM350h start from Rs 2.15 Crore (ex-showroom) in the country. The Lexus LM350h is available in a total of two variants: the 350h VIP 7-seater MPV, and the more VIP variant 4-seater 340 ultra luxury. The 2025 variant of the Lexus LM350h comes with features such as reclining seats with ventilation, heating, and massage functions. It also gets a 14-inch infotainment system and a 12.28-inch fully digital driver’s display.

Lexus LM: Engine Specs

The Lexus LM350h also comes with a four-zone climate control system, and it has a Mark-Levinson sound system. The high-end luxury MPV from Lexus comes with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, which is paired with an electric system. The Lexus LM350h has a peak power and torque output of 190 bhp and 240 Nm, respectively. It can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 8.7 seconds, and the top speed stands at 190 km/h.
