From segment leader Tata to new entrants, including Maruti and Toyota, the Indian EV market is set to witness some key launches this year. Here we have compiled a list of the top 5 upcoming electric SUVs in the country, which are expected to feature a claimed range of more than 500 kilometres.

Toyota Ebella

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella features swept-back headlights with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs and a connecting light bar. It gets 18-inch aerodynamic wheels and a thick body cladding that runs throughout the length of the SUV. At the rear, it features taillamps with a connected light bar, similar to the E Vitara. The Urban Cruiser Ebella comes with several advanced features, such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system, along with a 10.21-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Other key features include an automatic climate control, a sunroof, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, and more. The Toyota Ebella is expected to be launched soon in the country, and it has a maximum claimed range of up to 543 km.

Tata Sierra EV

The Tata Sierra was launched in the country recently, and its electric iteration is also set to be launched in the country in 2026. The Tata Sierra EV is based on the brand’s ARGOS platform, and it is anticipated to come equipped with a Rear-Wheel Drive and an All-Wheel Drive configuration. The ARGOS platform can incorporate a bigger battery pack, which is expected to provide the electric SUV with a claimed range of more than 500 kilometres. The Tata Sierra EV is expected to come equipped with the same set of features as the ICE variant of the SUV. The 2025 Sierra comes equipped with features such as a triple-screen setup, Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, JBL Black sound system with Dolby Atmos, ventilated seats, a dual-climate control system, and more.

The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara was recently unveiled in India, and it was expected to be launched in the country in January 2026. The premiumness and modernity of the exterior bits continue inside the cabin of the Maruti Suzuki E Vitara. The E Vitara by Maruti boasts a maximum claimed range of up to 543 kilometres. It comes with several advanced features, such as powered and ventilated seats at the front, a fully automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a wireless charger, and more.
