Mahindra XEV 9S Price: The Mahindra XEV 9S was launched in India on November 27, 2025, at Rs 19.95 lakh. The XEV 9S is the first-ever 7-seater electric SUV in the country, and it competes against the likes of the Kia Carens Clavis. But do you know why the brand launched the Mahindra XEV 9S in the country, and what is the reason behind the success of the brand’s electric SUVs? Mahindra XEV 9S Design
The overall silhouette of the Mahindra XEV 9S is similar to its ICE (internal combustion engine) sibling, the Mahindra XUV700. However, several elements provide the Mahindra XEV 9S with a distinctive look. At the front, it gets LED DRLs with a connecting light bar and a closed grille. The turn signals are integrated into the LED DRLs, and the LED projector-based headlamps are placed on the sides below the DRL setup. On the sides, it gets sculpted lines on the doors, flush door handles, and 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels. At the rear, it features the same taillight setup as the Mahindra XUV700, and it also gets a connected light setup. It also has a very thin body-cladding, which runs along the entire body of the electric SUV.

Mahindra XEV 9S Features
Inside the cabin, the Mahindra XEV 9S features leatherette upholstery for the seats, along with a leatherette cover for the steering wheel. The Mahindra XEV 9S also gets a panoramic skyroof, illuminated infinity logo, ventilated front seats, a 6-way powered driver seat with 2-way manual lumbar support adjustment, and auto fold ORVMs. The ORVMs tilt automatically when reversing the vehicle, and the electric SUV also gets an auto defogger for the windshield. The XEV 9S also features an auto-dimming IRVM, a dual-zone automatic temperature control system, sliding seats on the second row with multi-step recline, rear wiper and washer, push button start, automatic headlamps and wipers, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, and cooled console storage.

Mahindra XEV 9S Range & Battery
The brand will be offering the Mahindra XEV 9S in a total of 4 variants. The Mahindra XEV 9S is available with three battery packs: a 59 kWh, a 70 kWh, and a 79 kWh.The Mahindra XEV 9S has a maximum range of up to 679 kilometres (ARAI claimed), once charged completely. The Mahindra XEV 9S can support DC fast charging of up to 175 kW, and the brand claims that the electric seven-seater SUV can be charged from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in just 20 minutes with the 160 kW DC fast charger.
