A horrific road accident in the Daudnagar police station area on Tuesday night devastated two families. Two young men were critically injured in a head-on collision between a car and a motorcycle on the Daudnagar-Gaya main road between Makhra and Sihari villages. Although they were rushed to the hospital for treatment, both succumbed to their injuries, sending a wave of grief across the region.
Victims Identified
According to police information, the deceased have been identified as 36-year-old Venkatesh Kumar, son of Aniruddha Sharma, and 19-year-old Harsh Kumar, son of Kamlesh Sharma. Both were residents of Rampur village under the Telpa police station area in the Arwal district. The two men were riding a motorcycle towards Daudnagar for some work when they were hit by a speeding car.
Police Response And Medical Aid
Upon receiving information about the incident, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Daudnagar reached the scene with a police force. The critically injured victims were immediately rushed to the Daudnagar Sub-divisional Hospital. Doctors initiated primary treatment, but due to the severity of their injuries, both passed away shortly thereafter. As news of the accident spread, family members gathered at the hospital, leading to a scene of chaos and deep mourning.

Legal Procedures And Investigation
The police informed the families of the deceased about the tragedy. Following the necessary legal procedures, an inquest was conducted, and the bodies were sent to Sadar Hospital in Aurangabad for post-mortem examination. The SHO stated that the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation, with police examining the role of the car driver, the speed of the vehicle, and other relevant aspects.

Local residents have urged the administration to improve traffic management on the Daudnagar-Gaya main road and curb speeding vehicles. They pointed out that vehicles often travel at high speeds on this route, posing a constant risk of accidents.
