A luxury caravan bus service has been officially launched to provide a new tourism experience in Bihar. Tourism Minister Arun Shankar Prasad flagged off two caravan buses from the Sikh Heritage Building complex on Daroga Rai Path in Patna. The bookings for these buses are now open for tourists.

Road trips now in hotel-like comfort

With the caravan bus service, tourists will now be able to explore Bihar with comfort on wheels, without the hassle of finding a hotel during their journey.

The caravan buses are built on a sturdy chassis manufactured by BharatBenz. Each bus features four 360-degree rotating chairs, a comfortable three-seater sofa, a bathroom, a kitchen, a TV, AC, a generator set, and a canopy for camping.

Each seat has a snack table for food and drinks. The seat curtains are also motorised, opening and closing with the push of a button. This feature provides passengers with privacy and added comfort.

Perfect trip for a family

Each caravan offers 4 sleeper beds, sufficient for a comfortable journey for a family. Each bed is equipped with a reading light and TV, ensuring even long journeys feel comfortable.

Complete care for safety and comfort

To ensure complete safety, the Caravan bus has been equipped with CCTV cameras and an SOS button. This will ensure passengers not only comfort but also safety. Equipped with modern amenities, this bus has emerged as a new attraction for Bihar tourism.

The caravan features automatic foldable steps for entry.

Aircraft-like luggage storage system

An aircraft-style overhead hatrack cabin is provided for passenger luggage. Additional storage is also available under the sofa. For safety, the caravan also features emergency exits, ensuring passengers are safe in case of an emergency.

Hotel-like facilities in the kitchen

The kitchen area inside the caravan features an induction stove with a sturdy slab. It also includes a refrigerator, microwave, and water cooler. The kitchen features four storage compartments for storing utensils and other items. A washbasin is also provided, eliminating the need to search for a hotel outside during your trip.

Comfortable sleep with orthopaedic beds

Each sleeper berth in the bedroom area has a separate TV. Mobile charging points are also provided near each seat. Direct coordination with the driver is also provided for any needs or instructions.

Each sleeper berth is decorated with wallpaper depicting major Indian tourist destinations. Specially designed orthopaedic mattresses provide ultimate comfort for travellers suffering from back, leg, and cervical pain.

Separate bathroom and dressing area

The caravan's bathroom features a basin and a shower area, providing both hot and cold water. A marine toilet is also fitted, providing efficient cleaning even with minimal water. A separate dressing and makeup area is provided near the bedroom, complete with a large mirror and a shelf for cosmetics.

Fare, distance and booking facility

Nand Kishore, Managing Director of the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation, stated that caravan buses can be booked for a minimum distance of 250 kilometres at a rate of Rs 75 per kilometre. A 5% GST will be payable on the fare. Bookings can be made at the corporation office located at the Sikh Heritage Building, the Kautilya Vihar counter, or through the mobile number 8544418209.
