In anticipation of increased passenger traffic on regular trains following Holi and the upcoming summer vacation, Indian Railways will operate several summer special trains via Arrah Junction.
Train number 04489/90, the New Delhi-Patna AC Special, will run daily from March 28th to April 1st, departing New Delhi at 3:50 PM and arriving in Patna at 8:40 AM the next day, stopping at Arrah at 7:28 AM. The return train will depart Patna at 12:00 PM, stop at Arrah at 12:53 PM, and arrive in New Delhi at 4:40 AM the following day.
Train number 01065/66, the Mumbai-Guwahati Special, will run every Thursday from April 10th to May 1st, departing CSMT at 11:05 AM and arriving in Guwahati at 11:00 AM the day after next, stopping at Arrah at 2:10 PM the next day. The return train will depart Guwahati every Sunday at 5:25 AM, stop at Arrah at 12:45 AM the next day, and arrive at CSMT at 8:25 AM the day after next.
Train number 01405/06, the Kolhapur-Katihar Special, will run every Sunday from April 6th to April 27th, departing Kolhapur at 9:35 AM and arriving in Katihar at 6:10 AM on Tuesday, stopping at Arrah at 11:00 PM the next day. The return train will depart Katihar every Tuesday at 6:10 PM, stop at Arrah at 12:25 AM the next day, and arrive in Kolhapur at 3:35 PM the day after next.
Train number 01663/64, the Rani Kamalapati-Saharsa Summer Special, will run every Monday from April 7th to June 30th, departing Rani Kamalapati at 4:30 PM and arriving in Saharsa at 3:15 PM the next day, stopping at Arrah at 8:46 AM. The return train will depart Saharsa every Tuesday at 6:30 PM, stop at Arrah at 1:35 AM the next day, and arrive at Rani Kamalapati at 9:10 PM.
East Central Railway will also operate a one-way special train from Rajgir to Anand Vihar via Arrah Junction. It will depart Rajgir at 10:00 AM, stop at Arrah at 2:03 PM, and arrive at Anand Vihar at 9:45 AM the next day.
