Bihar Weather Forecast: Cold Day Warning Issued For Patna, Gaya And 10 Districts; Temperatures To Drop By 4°C

The effect of fog and severe cold will continue in Bihar due to icy westerly winds. According to the Meteorological Department, night temperatures will fall by 2-4 degrees Celsius over the next five days, increasing the cold. A cold day warning has been issued for several districts in North Bihar. Bhagalpur was the coldest place in the state, while a drop in the minimum temperature was also recorded in Patna.

The impact of fog and severe cold will persist across the state due to icy westerly winds. As the weather becomes dry because of these winds, most parts of the state will remain in the grip of a Cold Day. According to the forecast from the Meteorological Centre Patna, the cold is likely to intensify over the next 5 days, with the night temperature expected to fall by two to four degrees Celsius. On Wednesday, a Cold Day warning has been issued for East and West Champaran, Siwan, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Aurangabad and Gaya in the northern parts of the state.

Temperature Records: Bhagalpur The Coldest

On Tuesday, Bhagalpur (Sabour) was the coldest in the state. The minimum temperature here was recorded at 4.6 degrees Celsius this season, while the capital's minimum temperature was recorded at 8.7 degrees Celsius, the lowest since 1 January. On Tuesday, a drop in the minimum temperature was recorded in 18 cities, including Patna. The maximum temperature in Patna was 19.2 degrees Celsius, while Sheikhpura recorded the highest temperature at 20.8 degrees Celsius.

Fog And Visibility Conditions

Dense fog is likely in various parts of the state over the next six days. The lowest minimum visibility was recorded at 40 metres in Valmiki Nagar, West Champaran.
