To ensure the timely execution of revenue-related work, the district administration has implemented strict measures. District Magistrate Dr Thiyagarajan SM has banned leave for all revenue officials and staff from Tuesday until December 31. Previously approved leaves have also been cancelled with immediate effect.

Mandatory Presence And Focus Areas

The DM has ordered all Land Reforms Deputy Collectors, Circle Officers, and revenue staff to be present in their respective work areas without fail. They have been tasked with resolving pending revenue-related cases, specifically:

  • Land mutation
  • Correction
  • Measurement
  • Encroachment on government land
  • Land disputes

Background: The Push for Efficiency

This directive follows the 'Bhumi Sudhar Janakalyan Samvad' (Land Reforms Public Welfare Dialogue) held by Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue and Land Reforms Minister, Vijay Kumar Sinha, on December 12.

Directives: During the program, where over 1,000 people submitted complaints, a directive was issued to resolve all pending cases by December 31.

Consequences: A panchayat-wise review will commence on January 1, and strict action will be taken against negligent officials.

Urgency: The administration noted that 68 per cent of crimes in the state are related to land disputes, making the timely settlement of these issues a top priority.

Striving For A 'Model Revenue District'

The administration aims to make Patna a "model revenue district" by simplifying public services and eliminating the interference of touts. The DM emphasised that success depends on officials working with sensitivity and efficiency in the field.

Key Instructions To Officials

No Delays: The practice of raising unnecessary objections or delaying mutations must end.

Digital Compliance: Officials must address negligence regarding the uploading of measurement reports on the e-Mapi portal.

Correction of Errors: Officials who have processed mutations for government land in another person's name have been ordered to self-correct these errors immediately. The DM warned that no second chance will be given to rectify this later.

Supervision: Circle Officers have been instructed to regularly monitor subordinate staff to increase professionalism.

The administration has clarified that these decisions are in the interest of work and that compliance is mandatory for all concerned personnel.
