Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell's whirlwind century powered visitors to a thrilling five-wicket win in the third T20I against India in Guwahati on Tuesday. Maxwell hammered eight sixes and as many fours after dew made it difficult for home bowlers to grip the ball.
Chasing 223, Maxwell played a knock of 104 in 48 balls well supported by captain Matthew Wade's 28* of 16 balls. After the match, the Australian revealed that dew affected Indian bowlers' accuracy in bowling yorkers.
"It all went pretty quickly. It was hard work for them to bowl yorkers with so much dew. We didn’t really have a number in mind. Knew we would be in the game if we could take it down to the final over," Maxwell said after scoring a century on his 100th T20I.

"Wade had to be out there to cash in with Axar having one over left towards the end. Wade was brilliant out there, the way he went helped me as well," he added.
Indian bowlers put up a forgettable performance in Guwahati as they leaked 80 runs in the last 5 overs including 23 runs off the final over from Prasidh Krishna, who was smashed four boundaries and a six.
The pacer returned with the worst T20I figure for any Indian bowler with 0-68 in four overs.
