IND vs NZ: India's star batter Virat Kohli, who reached Vadodara on Wednesday, got a warm welcome for the ODI series against New Zealand. The fans were waiting for the star batter patiently, and when he came out of the airport, the fans got excited. They were seen chanting 'Kohli, Kohli as the security was increased when the fans tried to take selfies as Kohli was seen struggling to even step out of his car.
Kohli will be entering this series on the back of some brilliant performances. Post-smashing a fifty in the last ODI against Australia, he maintained his sublime form, as he had scored two tons and a fifty against South Africa. He also performed well in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he had hit a hundred and a fifty.
After retiring from the longest format and T20Is, Kohli now focuses on just ODIs and has proved that he is one of the best batters in this format. This series against New Zealand will be his first international series of the year, where he will try to maintain his sublime form, especially in home conditions.

The first match in Vadodara will make Kohli nostalgic. He had played against the same opponent in 2010 in this format at Vadodara. He had scored a brilliant knock of 63 runs and helped the team win the match. Gautam Gambhir, who is currently the head coach, had scored 126 runs and won the Player of the Match award, where he also built a partnership of 114 runs for the second wicket.

The series opener will be held in Vadodara, and then the matches will be held in Rajkot and Indore.
