India will begin their five-match T20I series against England with the opening game at the Riverside Ground in Durham on Wednesday, July 1. The visitors will be looking to bounce back after suffering a disappointing T20I series defeat to Ireland.

One of the biggest talking points ahead of the England series is whether 15-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will finally make his international debut. Fans expected him to feature against Ireland, but he did not get a chance.

How Sooryavanshi smashed sixes in nets?

The young opener has once again grabbed attention after a video of his batting practice was shared by the official broadcaster. In the clip, Vaibhav looked confident and played several attacking shots with ease, showing the form that has made him one of India's brightest young talents.

His recent performances have only strengthened his case for a place in the playing XI. Vaibhav is coming into the series after a stunning knock of 94 runs from just 29 balls in the final of the Tri-Nation A Series against Sri Lanka A. During that innings, he also smashed the fastest fifty in the tournament, reaching the milestone in only 11 balls.

Will Vaibhav Sooryavanshi seen featuring against England?

Speaking before the first T20I, India's new captain Shreyas Iyer refused to reveal the team's combination. He said the management would keep its plans private to avoid giving England any advantage.

At the same time, Iyer praised Vaibhav and backed the youngster to succeed whenever he gets his opportunity.
