WPL 2026 Points Table Latest Update: Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Richa Ghosh scored a fabulous 90 runs; however, her efforts went in vain as the two-time champions Mumbai Indians earned a much-needed win by 14 runs in the 16th match of the ongoing Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026 season. This important win ensured that the hopes of the Mumbai Indians and their fans remain alive in the tournament, while the Bengaluru franchise faced its second straight loss.

Chasing a daunting target of 200, Royal Challengers Bengaluru were off to a decent start, scoring 20/0 in two overs. However, they lost the plot after being reduced to 35 for 5 inside the powerplay. Ghosh, who was firing on all cylinders in the chase, faltered in the final moments of the game as MI earned an important win.

With the win, Mumbai jumped to second spot with six points from seven matches. Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Giants are also on six points from six games each, but Mumbai have a better Net Run Rate.

MI Captain Harmanpreet Kaur on Win Against RCB-W

MI skipper Harmanpreet Kaur commended the team for their camaraderie and time spent off the field, which helped revive their campaign.

"This is our fourth year playing together, we know each other very well. That's something special about MI, whenever the team is challenged, someone always steps up," Harmanpreet said.

"Today was one of those days where everyone wanted to give their best for the team, and it showed. That small break we had really helped us. We sat together, had good bonding sessions, and spoke about how to approach these last two games," she added.
