In a shocking incident that has shamed humanity in Delhi, often called the "City of Hearts," a man died on a street while being robbed instead of helped. The heart-wrenching event took place in the Vikas Nagar area under the jurisdiction of the Ranhola Police Station. A man suddenly collapsed on the road and lay gasping for help, but instead of offering medical aid, two youths on a scooter took advantage of his condition and stole his mobile phone.

Left To Suffer On The Road

Due to the lack of timely medical intervention, the man passed away. The entire ordeal was captured on CCTV. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Sachin Sharma, the body has not yet been identified. The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of January 30.

Police stated that the incident took place shortly after 4:00 am. The victim suddenly collapsed on the road and began struggling for breath, his limbs twitching in distress. He lay there suffering for a significant amount of time, yet no passersby stopped to assist him.

Robbed Instead Of Rescued

The CCTV footage clearly shows two youths arriving at the scene on a scooter shortly after the man collapsed. As soon as the scooter stopped, the pillion rider got off and approached the unconscious man. Instead of checking his pulse or calling for help, he pulled the mobile phone out of the victim's pocket, hopped back onto the scooter, and the duo fled the scene.

The cruelty did not end there. After stealing the phone, the two suspects returned to the spot a short while later to rummage through the victim's pockets again, searching for more valuables. However, upon noticing the CCTV cameras nearby, they panicked and sped away.

Death Due To Negligence And Apathy

Throughout this entire sequence of events, the victim received no help. Lying on the cold street in critical condition, the man eventually breathed his last. The incident has sent shockwaves through the locality, with many left horrified after seeing the footage.
