Delhi Train Status: Dense Fog Disrupts Rail Traffic; Check List Of Delayed Trains Including Vande Bharat

More than 60 trains were delayed by over two hours in Delhi on Saturday morning due to dense fog, as the cold intensified. Major trains such as the Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat and the Katihar-New Delhi Champaran Humsafar Express are running late by up to 20 hours. The departure times of several trains have also been changed due to the delays, causing significant inconvenience to passengers.

A thick blanket of dense fog enveloped the national capital on Saturday morning, intensifying the cold conditions and severely disrupting railway services. More than 60 trains arriving at various stations in Delhi are reported to be running late by over two hours.

Major Delays And Rescheduling

The poor visibility has significantly impacted both arrival and departure schedules. Premium trains like the Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express and the Katihar-New Delhi Champaran Humsafar Express are facing massive delays, with reports indicating they will arrive in Delhi more than 20 hours behind schedule.

Consequently, the departure times for several trains have been revised.

Champaran Humsafar Express: Originally scheduled to depart from Old Delhi at 4:35 pm on Friday, the train has been rescheduled to leave at 12:30 pm on Saturday. This marks a delay of 19 hours and 55 minutes.

Several local trains are also running behind schedule. The disruption has caused significant inconvenience to passengers, many of whom are forced to wait at platforms in the biting cold.
