Delhi Weather Today: The national capital, Delhi, woke up to intensified winter chills and dense fog amid speculations of rain as IMD has issued an alert for the same. The Air Quality Index on Saturday morning experienced a deterioration by a few points as AQI continue to remain in the 'poor' category. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), due to the influence of a Western Disturbance, light rainfall is likely in one or two spells across different parts of Delhi.
Delhi Weather Today: Alert For Rain And Fog
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert on Saturday and Sunday, which is on January 31 and February 1, warning of possible very light to light rainfall, isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (up to 30–40 kmph) in one or two spells across the city.

Despite the forecast, most parts of Delhi enjoyed a bright and sunny morning on Friday (January 31). Sunshine prevailed from early hours, and as the day progressed, the intensity of sunlight increased significantly, leading to a quick and noticeable rise in daytime temperatures.
Delhi Weather Forecast: Cloudy Skies, Shallow Fog Ahead
On February 4 and 5, cloudy skies and shallow to moderate fog are likely to persist during morning hours over the next six days.
The ongoing weather activity may lead to colder conditions, a further drop in temperatures and an increased chance of dense fog in several areas.

The air quality has worsened in the national capital, Delhi, on Saturday as compared to what it was on Friday morning. The average AQI of the city stood at 271 at 8 am, as per the Central Pollution Control Board. Delhi's air quality is set to get better in the coming days, as predicted showers are likely to disperse the smog and reduce pollution levels.
