A 90-metre footover bridge (FOB) connecting the Namo Bharat station to the metro station in New Ashok Nagar has been unofficially opened, and passengers have begun using it.
The opening of the bridge has significantly reduced the walking distance between the two stations by approximately 210 metres. Previously, passengers faced inconvenience as they had to walk about 300 metres to transfer between the Namo Bharat and metro stations. This led to consistent demands from commuters for the FOB's swift completion.
Construction on the 90-metre-long bridge began last year, concurrent with the development of the Namo Bharat station. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the New Ashok Nagar Namo Bharat station on January 5 of this year, the footover bridge was still under construction at that time.

With the construction work now finished, the bridge has been opened to the public, albeit unofficially. A passenger named Surbhi confirmed the improvement, stating that the opening of the footover bridge has successfully reduced the walking distance.
