South Delhi Murder Case Solved: Tughlakabad Man Killed, Body Dumped In Faridabad; Three Arrested

A young man has been murdered in Tughlakabad village, South Delhi, following a minor argument. The accused placed the body in a car and dumped it in the Surajkund area of Faridabad. Police have solved the case with the arrest of three accused. The deceased has been identified as Vikas Mavi, who had been reported missing to Govindpuri police.

South Delhi Murder Case Solved: Tughlakabad Man Killed, Body Dumped In Faridabad; Three Arrested

Delhi Police have solved a murder case involving a resident of Tughlakabad village, South Delhi, whose body was discovered in the Surajkund area of Faridabad. The incident, which occurred on the night of December 7, led to the arrest of three individuals following a missing person investigation.

The Investigation

On the morning of December 8, the Govindpuri police station received a report regarding the disappearance of Vikas Mavi, a young man from Tughlakabad village.

Lead: Police launched an immediate investigation and discovered that the victim was last seen drinking alcohol with his neighbor, Vishal Rai.

Confession: Police detained Vishal for questioning. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and implicated two accomplices.

Sequence Of Events

According to the police and the confession provided by the accused, the sequence of events unfolded on the intervening night of December 6-7:

- The Gathering: Vishal Rai was drinking with fellow villagers Praveen and Keshav Bidhuri. The victim, Vikas Mavi, joined them. The group had been consuming alcohol since the morning.

- The Conflict: After consuming a large quantity of alcohol, a dispute arose between the three accused and the victim.

- The Assault: The altercation escalated, and the trio struck Vikas on the head with a heavy object. The blow caused profuse bleeding, and Vikas collapsed.

Disposal Of The Body

Believing Vikas to be dead, the accused devised a plan to dispose of the body:

- Transport: Vishal and Praveen loaded the victim into their car.

- Route: They drove via Prahladpur, passing the Surajkund police station in Faridabad, until they reached the area near Mangar Chowki (police post).

- Dumping: They threw the body into the bushes in the Mangar area before returning to Delhi.

Attempt To Destroy Evidence

The police investigation revealed an attempt to cover up the crime. The third accused, Keshav Bidhuri, was responsible for destroying CCTV footage from the location where the incident and the initial altercation took place.

Current Status

Arrests: All three accused—Vishal Rai, Praveen, and Keshav Bidhuri, have been arrested.

Recovery: Based on the information provided by the accused, the police have recovered the victim's body from the bushes in Faridabad. The car used to transport the body has also been seized.
