NEET UG Re-Exam Guidelines: What Students Must Carry And What To Avoid For Re-NEET 2026?

NEET UG Re-Exam Guidelines: Under the heightened security arrangements and tighter checking measures, the National Testing Agency is gearing up for the Re-NEET tomorrow, June 21, 2026. As per the recent official notice issued by the agency, candidates must reach the examination venue before the reporting time to complete the biometric screening and identity checks at examination centres. More than 22 lakh candidates will be appearing for the test on Sunday at over 5,000 exam centres. Candidates must carry their admit card along with a photo ID proof to the exam centre for verification. Moreover, to check the exam preparedness, NTA has organised a nationwide mock drill today from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

NEET UG Re-Test 2026: Highlights

To ensure that the exam goes on well tomorrow, the authorities have deployed a three-level surveillance system involving district administrations, state police units and specialised teams from the central government. Over 2 lakh police personnel have been deployed for tomorrow.

Documents To Carry For NEET Re-Test 2026

NEET aspirants must have the following documents ready for the June 21 Re-NEET to avoid last-minute chaos. 

1. Re-NEET Admit Card 2026: Students must carry a printed copy of the admit card downloaded from the official website. Entry without the admit card may not be allowed.

2. Valid Photo Identity Proof: Candidates should carry any one valid photo ID such as:

• Aadhaar Card

• PAN Card

• Passport

• School ID

• Voter ID

• Driving Licence

The details on the ID should match the admit card.

3. Passport-Size Photograph: Carry passport-size photographs similar to the one uploaded in the application form for attendance or verification purposes.

4. PwD Certificate (If Applicable): Candidates applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category should carry relevant certificates and documents.

What Candidates Must Wear Tomorrow?

To avoid delays during frisking, students should wear simple and comfortable clothes. These include: 

• Light-coloured clothes

• Half-sleeve shirts or tops

• Simple trousers or jeans without heavy pockets

• Slippers or low-heeled sandals

What to Avoid Wearing?

• Full sleeves (unless allowed for religious reasons with prior approval)

• Heavy jewellery, rings, bracelets, and earrings

• Caps, scarves, sunglasses

• Shoes with thick soles or boots

Students wearing customary or religious attire may need to report early for additional checking.

Prohibited Items Inside NEET Exam Centre

NTA has laid down strict guidelines detailing what candidates must not carry tomorrow. 

• Mobile phones

• Smartwatches or digital watches

• Bluetooth devices or earphones

• Calculators

• Notes, books, or study material

• Wallets, handbags, or purses

• Food items (under medical conditions only)

Candidates Must Reach Early To Complete Biometric Verification

NTA will conduct biometric verification tomorrow to validate candidates’ credentials. Therefore, candidates are advised to reach the examination between 1:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The gates will close at 1:30 PM sharp, and no latecomers will be allowed entry. 

The biometric verification will include: 

• Fingerprint verification

• Facial recognition verification

• Identity authentication

NTA has ensured candidates that the biometric verification will not cause any inconvenience and, if necessary, will be completed before or after the exam.

Important Instructions to Remember During the Exam

• Carefully read the instructions on the question paper and OMR sheet.

• Fill in the details correctly before starting the exam.

• Follow the invigilator's instructions carefully throughout the examination.
