In view of the inclement weather, all government and private colleges and schools will remain closed in the state till September 7, an order stated.

Flood-like conditions have developed in Mathura district. The water level of the Yamuna river is rising rapidly and many areas are waterlogged, due to which water has entered some schools as well. In view of the situation, the District Basic Education Officer (BSA) has declared a holiday in all schools up to class 12 on Wednesday and Thursday (3 and 4 September). All schools up to class 12 have been closed.

As per the official order have been given to close educational institutions in Ambala and Jhajjar, Haryana. This decision has been taken, giving priority to safety. TheIndian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in Haryana till September 5, due to which the administration has taken this decision.

Continuous heavy rains in Ambala have led to flood-like conditions. In view of this, the district administration has declared holiday in all schools, colleges and other educational institutions till September 4.

At the same time, in view of the situation of heavy rains in Jhajjar, the District Disaster Management Authority has issued orders to keep all government, private schools and Anganwadi centers in the district closed till September 6 in view of the safety of the general public. This order will not apply to school staff members and they will remain on duty.

Heavy monsoon rainfall has prompted the Himachal Pradesh government to order school closures across multiple districts, including Shimla, Solan, and Bilaspur, for September 2, 2025. The decision, made in the interest of student and staff safety, follows multiple landslide warnings and forecasts of further intense downpours by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

All government and private schools have been closed on September 1 in view of the incessant rains and the threat of landslides in the Jammu division. Cloudbursts and flash floods have caused trouble for the people here for the last few days. Uttarakhand: Schools in some districts may be closed due to rain and landslide risks. A final decision will be made after reviewing the weather on Monday.

Himachal Pradesh: District authorities may announce closures if conditions worsen due to landslides and floods.

Andhra Pradesh: Some districts affected by heavy rain may see continued school closures
