SSC CGL 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has notified candidates through its official website about the option form for the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam 2026. Candidates who have appeared for the CGL Tier 2 exam must submit their preference for posts and departments by March 12, 2026, for the further selection process. 

The process will take place through the candidate login section. Applicants can modify their choices many times within this time frame. The last submitted preference of posts and departments will be considered final for the selection process.

SSC CGL 2025: Steps To Submit Preference Form For CHL Tier 2

Once the official link is active, follow the given steps to submit the option form through the candidates’ login portal.

Step 1: Go to the SSC official portal at ssc.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, open the candidate’s login section. 

Step 3: Enter your registered number and password.

Step 4: Browse for the option-cum-preference submission link and select it.

Step 5: As per your preference, select post preference and submit.

SSC CGL 2025 Tier 2 Post Preference Submission Window: Key Points For PwBD Candidates

Candidates from the  Persons with Benchmark Disabilities category must only select posts and departments identified as suitable for their disability category. Candidature can be cancelled if an unsuitable post is allotted.

SSC has clarified that candidates must meet the prescribed physical and medical requirements before filling out the option form. In case the requirements are not met, the Department can cancel the candidature.
