'Kalki 2898 AD' has become one of the most successful movies of 2024 and is still receiving an amazing response after its release on the OTT platform. The movie got involved in a controversy as well after Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi said that Prabhas was like a 'joker' in 'Kalki 2898 AD' and received a massive backlash from the fans. Producer Swapna Dutt has now also reacted to Arshad's comment and wished that the actor had used better language.
While speaking to News18, she said, "I loved the way Nagi reacted to it. We stayed calm because the film proved for itself what it is. Prabhas was fantastic in the film, as he always is. We’ve to give it to the magnanimity of Nag Ashwin and Prabhas. They’re just so easy on these things. Nagi tweeted recently saying that he will be sending him a toy and work harder for part two. He only wished that he (Arshad) used better language and that makes Nagi who and what he is.”
For the unversed, Arshad Warsi spoke about 'Kalki 2898 AD' on the Unfiltered by Samdish podcast. He said, "Amit ji (Amitabh Bachchan) was unbelievable... Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana diya yaar. Kyu karte hain aisa mujhe nahin samajh mein aata (What did you make him? Why do they do such things?)."

'Kalki 2898 AD' is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 600 crore and is said to be the most expensive Indian movie till now. Apart from Prabhas, the movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. Kamal Haasan is seen as the main antagonist with Disha Patani, Brahmanandam, Saswata Chatterjee, Rajendra Prasad, Shobhana, Pasupathy, and Anna Ben seen in pivotal roles.
