Miss World 2024: The 71st edition of the Miss World 2024 pageant captivated global audiences, marking a remarkable return to India after a hiatus of 28 years. Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar and Miss World 2013 Megan Young from the Philippines served as hosts for this prestigious beauty pageant, that took place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on Saturday, March 9th. Miss India World Sini Shetty represented the country on the global stage.
Sini Shetty, who was crowned the winner of Femina Miss India 2022, stood as India's esteemed representative at the Miss World 2024 pageant. With her remarkable accomplishments and a background in accounting and finance, the 22-year-old had already demonstrated her talents in the cultural round of the competition and left a lasting impression on the international stage. While she reached the top 8, she couldn't make it to the top 4 finalists.
Who is Sini Shetty?
Originally from Karnataka, she clinched the title of Femina Miss India World 2022 during the spectacular finale of the Femina Miss India 2022. Sini hails from Karnataka but was born in Mumbai. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance and is currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program. Furthermore, Sini Shetty is a proficient Bharatanatyam dancer.
As per the pageant's official website, she is a graduate of St. Dominic Savio Vidhyalaya, Mumbai, and S. K. Somaiya Degree College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Vidhyavihar, Mumbai. She obtained her bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from the latter institution. In her professional journey, she has explored roles as a product executive, actor, model, and content creator.
Commencing her dance journey at the age of four with Bharatanatyam, she accomplished her arangetram at fourteen. Subsequently, she explored various other dance forms, frequently sharing videos of her performances on Instagram. In discussions with pageant officials, Shetty expressed her greatest sense of pride in her capability to transform her passion for dance into a full-fledged profession.
With a philanthropic spirit at her core, she expressed her commitment to eradicating world hunger if presented with the opportunity.
