The project is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. The film is adapted from Asghar Wajahat's famous play Jis Lahore Nai Vekhya, O Jamya E Nai. Along with the lead pair, it features a strong ensemble cast including Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh, and veteran actress Shabana Azmi.
